This may depend on where you live.

I think it depends what neighborhood you live in.... I've had UPS leave boxes at my door at home, but at my office they leave call tags....

No, if it's insured, and probably will be, they will not leave it without a signature. They will leave you a slip and may return the next day to deliver. If you are not there again, they will ask you to go and pick it up at the FedEx depot.

Shouldn't packages from FedEx be signed for? Scary to come home and find the new $1000 super-system at the door for everyone to steal.
I will live in a rented apatment, gated with local office.

In my neighborhood (it's pretty crappy) they won't even leave uninsured stuff at the door unless you tell them where they can leave it.

completely up to the driver, even if it requires delivery.

i got a box in from CDW yesterday. on the top in huge ass letters, and circled in red, said DO NOT LEAVE AT DOOR, SIGNATURE REQUIRED. guess where i found it? at the door

but i like that because im usually not here to get stuff. never had one problem.

Tell FedEx that you will pick it up at their center.

Or have it shipped to your work
