How does it work?

I got my new computer and I'm starting on the hardware, but I'm not sure about the networking. My dad has a Comcast cable modem and a linksys router which gives us 100MBPS speed 😎, but I'm not sure how my computer will connect to the router. Will my motherboard's onboard LAN work? I would appreciate answers; I like my internet very much

just set your onboard LAN controller to DHCP and plug it into the router using a pre-made cat5e cable. done~!

wireless routers have wired ports, so its still an option.

if you just want to connect to wireless, simply install the drivers and the appropriate software (either the client utility or WZC). then, connect to your wireless SSID and enter the passphrase / key setup in your router configuration.

OK, thanks so much! Which drivers/software should I download? I'm getting the Gigabyte motherboard.
Oh, and Windows Zero Configuration is WZC right?
