I have no problem understanding you. It is just the board jackasses, I mean the board anal-retentive grammar police.

I understand you fine...it's the same in most languages really. There's a version that learn in textbooks and from courses, and then there's the way we really talk. It seems like most Americans value simplifying speech, taking away it's care and beauty (ebonics anyone). And all we're left with is abbreviation, slang, and double meanings. Sad really.

Anyway, don't let it bother you...the purpose of communication is to share ideas, not make grades for correctness of syntax.

Say that again? No, I'm just kidding -- we can understand you just fine. It's just that some people feel better about themselves by pointing out mistakes in others.

Considering how poor the grammar of the native english speakers on this board is, You don't really stand out to me at all. I'll gotten to the point where I can't even tell now. Kinda the same thing with my foriegn professors. A lot of people complain about being able to understand them, I rarely even notice anything wrong.

I had no trouble understanding your post. :)
And, as with everything, your grammar will get better with practice.

you are encouriging me and that is nice but I write careless sometimes cause I wanna reply fast, who dont:)
Bottomline is,I cant hear when it sounds stupid or worse,it can be missunderstood I mean one thing but the words mean another thing. This is the worst about not having english as native language.Do you americans learn any other languages in school before college?
In Sweden we learn English(ohh;-) and Deuth or French when we start the 7th year in school..

School systems vary widely depending on which state one lives in. Around here, we're required to take another language, either french or spanish, starting in 8th grade, which would be the 9th year of school. You have to take it for at least 3-4 years (3 if you're in the advanced language program, or four if you're not). After that, it's optional.
