How does integrated Intel extreme graphics handle OGL games?

I have a coworker who just bought a computer and likes games, but his comp has the dreaded integrated intel. I have a bunch of old stuf like SOF that I was considering loaning him, will OpenGL stuff even run on those chips? I havent ever used a pc equiped(crippled) with the chip so I have no clue. In a word - crappily.

Intel integrated, even the latest, is utter ass. If he just bought it, have him (1) add a good videocard, pronto or (2) if it has no AGP slot, take it back and get a system that doesn't suck.

Post the system specs/model here and we'll make a recommendation. 😀 But to start:

Its a Gateway 500 series, P4 2.0 I believe. He listened to the speech about entry level brand name pc's and the evil contained therein but the cheap side of the force won yet again, as is common with first time buyers. The main reason I ask is so I know to not loan the games that won't run at all. I dont want to get stuck on tech support duty or trying to help a tightwad reluctantly upgrade a new pc. He said he played through Ghost Recon and had no complaints, do games in Direct 3D run ok, or at the very least at all?

Remember that the performance scale has two extremes ... top and bottom. Guess which end Intel's "Extreme Graphics" are on ...
