So i would use this mainly for gaming and what not

but how is Dell's LCDs? Should i look in a different direction?

For this price. its a good deal

Thanks 🙂

Dell doesn't actually manufacturer them but their DELL branded LCDs always get positive comments from several sources I have read online. I wouldn't hesistate to buy one from them at all.

Bah what forum? i looked through them, and didnt see anything that said

"LCD/Monitor"

just like all the other forums have descriptions

General Hardware or Video would do fine, IMO.

Oh wells, sorry guys for the mistake, because i know it makes you guys work even more haha

anyways, mods can move this if they please 🙂

I hear they are phillips made but dell branded LCDs. for the most part they preform great, but when it comes to high color graphic design and high FPS games LCD's are still smoked by their CRT counterparts

I have an LCD from Dell (17", but an older version), and my parents have exact same model. It's awesome.

It's a waste to get an LCD and use it via analog port. Get a decent card - they all come with DVI ports anyway.
Some monitors come with dual connections: DVI and analog (my did). I'm not sure if they latest models have analog any more.
