Some are good, some bad, same as most mfr's.

Riddle me this regarding Dell Laptops...
Do they all have the DC-In soldered directly to the mainboard or do at least some of them have daughterboards?

My buddy's e1505 had what we thought was a bum DC-In connector, so we spent the few bucks to replace it (he bought the part, I did the work). After hours of work, I still could not get the darn connector off. The solder Dell had used was corroded and would not melt at all.

If they had used a daughterboard then that would have been a much easier fix.
