How does Crucial's RMA process work?

Nocturnal

Lifer
Has anyone RMAd memory to Crucial? My one stick of my 512mb Ballistix went bad today. Do I just call and give them the serial # and then they set up an RMA?

I RMAd a video card with them, everything seemed to go very well and was quite simple. I think I did it all online, but I'm not positive about it.

I'd call them except their closed for the day. Thus I come to an online forum where I'm sure someone must have done an RMA with them before.

I've always bought my stuff directly from them so they have my info in their database when I call.

I've RMA'd 3 times with them and it usually goes like this:
Talk to a tech for 2 minutes "yeah my ram is bad - the system won't boot with this stick installed and runs fine with the other one" --- transferred to cust service
"Hold for a minute while I get you the RMA number - ok here is your number"

Mail it to them with the RMA # and they immediately return you a fresh spankin new stick.
