How does ATT's early termination fee work?

If I buy an iPhone 3G and cancel it right away. Is it $200 + $175 ETF?

Yeah, something like that. Cancel before contract is due and you have to pay a set amount.

I'm pretty sure the ETF is relevant to how much of the contract you have left.

you can't cancel within first 30 days and keep the phone, you have to return it. EFT kicks in after 30 days. So you have to pay base price of phone + months service + activation fee + ETF

You have 30 days from activation to return/cancel the plan. Go read your contract.

I forgot about having to wait 30 days.
