How Does Anandtech.com Compare?!

How does Anandtech.com Compare with other stes such as HardOCP or Tom's Hardware? Are any of those other ones any good?

I ask because I read from a few places LONG ago that so and so is not a good source because they are biased towards one company versus another... is that still the case?

the people at Hard are a little too hung up on Aquacool for WC setups. They try to beat you down for suggesting something else (like a Storm block)

HardOCP is better for getting ripped off in the FS/T forum with Mod support. Here the Mods seem to frown upon ripping people off.

Those two sites blow.
HardOCP..... Good god dont get me started, awful FS&T forums. People getting jacked all the time. Worthless articles and worthless writers. Kyle = dumbass.
Toms, IMO the forum format is awful for me. The info seems biased sometimes, but i will occasionally use their site for info.

The only other forum that i really enjoy is xtremesystems. Then again, i'm biased towards AT.

xtremesystems always gets the hardware way earlier then the other sites.(they have insider leaks it seems) and have some of best ocing tips in world. If i am not at AT im there.

Anandtech is my favorite, mostly becasue all reviews/ articles are under 10 pages long (I dont have time to read all 27 pages of the Tom's reviews).

* > Hard OCP

I've been registered there for several years, but haven't even been to the site for a long time..

AnandTech is the best. Only Tech Forum I participate in . (I lurk at XtremeSystems Forum)
Xbitlabs is great all around. They have now joined the nVIDIA HQ benchmark club.
Extremetech carries lots of well-written reviews of peripheral & storage devices. Their Video reviews suck. Their commentaries and other tech-industry-related articles are nice.

I don't see what everyone's problem with Toms' is. I like their mobilityguru, denguru, TomsNetworking sites a lot. Even THG is pretty damn fine.

PC Perspective has done some very great motherboard reviews in the past. I remember reading their review of the ASUS Crosshair AM2 motherboard and writing an e-mail to the editor Ryan Shrout saying, "Thank You, this is how a motherboard review should be done."

Edit: FiringSquad does good articles/benchmarks for video/memory/cpu configs. Forgot to mention HardOCP sucks. Kyle thinks he is an uber-bad-ass cowboy who is the god-sent Savior of Hardware Review Websites.

I'm going to say AT because I've been trading on the FS/FT boards for six years. That is what brought me to this site, and IMHO the integrity of the average trader here is of higher caliber, though not what it was when I began.

Well what the hell, everyone's going to say they like AT more.

I frequent both AT and Hardforum, and I like both equally.

I like the offtopic here, and the modding forums there.

If you WATCH YOUR ASS like you should, you won't get ripped off anywhere. I will say the mods over there can seem a bit lacking in action sometimes, but yet again, it's up to you to watch your own ass when trading online.

The two sites which most frequently appear in hardware related searches have been AT and XS.
