How does an 18 year old male grow taller?

Well, my cousin is over for the summer and he get really bummed out about his height all the time. He is probably the shortest person in our entire family! A mere 5'3", which isn't too bad I guess, but he is really annoyed and everyone else in our entire family is at least 3-4 inches taller. I guess he got bad genes or something. Anyway is there any way he can increase his height now???....He is 18.5 by now and I figure its too late??
 
How would he increase his height if he were younger? I'm pretty sure that's one of those genetic things.
 
growth hormone treatment, but it's expensive and the research for it is inconclusive in terms of long-term effects. might cause cancer? it should be good till he's 22, i think. if he whines about being short, tell him "at least you're not deformed or lame..."

Human Growth Hormone injections.........i think...........and other methods.........well there are lots of them....
 
From what I understand, once your body's growth plates fuse together, your sh*t out of luck. At 18 yrs old, he's likely stopped growing.

Maybe leg extensions, where they cut into your bones and insert metal rods that lengthen your legs. *shudder* I don't know how anybody could do that.
 
He might be actually.......because the whole family is 3-4 inches taller so it doesnt make sense for him not to be....

Uhhh.. Height is all relative. He should move to some place like California or Texas where there are lots of Asians or Mexicans, and the average height is a couple of inches lower so that he can at least feel somewhat taller.
