How does a fly swatter kill

Not works, but kill. I know the holes are there so air passes through which makes it able to hit the fly when its not flying. But what kills it. You can swat at a fly in mid air and it goes down and die. You dont have to smash it.. just touch it in mid air with the swatter.
 
Really. If you take your fist and hit a fly in mid air... the fly lives.

You take a fly swatter do the same thing.. and dead

If i were to drill holes in my hand to allow air to pass through then proceed to punch the fly in mid air . Will this kill it? :hmm:
 
Seriously, there's a lot of physics going on with a fly swatter. I can't explain it cause didn't take physics, but think about it. You're extending a tool, and adding speed and snap. It's fairly obvious to me even if I can't write out the equations. Either that, or you're using an electric fly swatter :^P
