how does a 64mb radeon 8500LE compare to a geforce card?

Somewhere near geforce 3 ti500. but really depends on which 3d benchmark you're talking about (at the highest resolution, the lead may change). for example, in 3dMark 2001, ati 8500 is about 500 pts.faster than a geforce 3 ti 500 (based on madonion's benchmark info. on its website). in many game benchmarks, however, the geforce 3 ti 500 (even ti 200) beats ati 8500 at the 1024 resolution and below. radeon 8500 is much more feature-packed though.

Edit: I just saw "LE" next to 8500. It will be a few frame rates slower than a reg. 8500.

Overall it generally performs comparatively to the regula GF3. Slightly slower then the GF3 Ti500, but faster then the Ti200.
Though naturally relative performance is going to vary depending upon which application is being tested.

You can't really tell since ATI's drivers are not 100% efficent. So for an example, on some games, you might find the Radeon 8500 LE losing to a Geforce 4 MX, and sometimes the card beats the Ti500 by a lot.

i've read that review, the only problem is that is the 128mb LE, which is better. i've also readt the NV25 review, but that is old and the drivers have improved i've been told..........
