I bought Encyclopaedia Britannica software and installed it. To use it it asks me to put in the cd. I am sure it is an antipiracy technique but it is bloody inconvenient. Is there a way to have everything on my hard drive?

you could make an image of the disk and then use one of the programs that will create a virtual disk drive...this way it'll run as if it were a cd, but it'll all be located on the hd

Dr Smooth: there are programs that do this, free programs too. I suggest looking through the software forum under that big sticky thread. Theres a lot to go through...
