How do you use PM

I can't get PM to work, What am I missing?

Reading the help maybe? Turning it on in your profile?

Click on the Private Message icon in the post of another user. Another window pops up where you can type a message to that person. After you're done hit send.
The other user will see the PM icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen flash red with the message, that they have a Private Message, the next time they view a refreshed forum page.

When I click on someones PM , the 2nd box doesn't pop up that's the part I can't figure out why?

A system problem on your end? Javascript disabled? bad browser?. No idea, its something on your browser end of things though

Where should I start checking at the browser?
