How do you "unjailbreak" an iPhone?

So I sold my iPhone 4s and want to wipe everything before mailing it off. But I have the evasi0n jailbreak on it and have read some horror stories about using the standard Erase All Content and Settings option on the phone. I'd like to keep the jailbreak (as I advertised it as such), but want to get rid of all of my personal data. Help?

ATT iphone 4s, iOS 6.0.1 using Evasion Jailbreak method.

Just restore it to iOS 7, with iTunes.
No - advertised sale as jailbreaked w/ iOs 6.0.1, buyer is expecting/wanting this.

This was jailbroken w/ evasion. I noticed this in Cydia > Manage > evasi0n 6.0 - 6.1.2 untether.
Can I uninstall this and then run the erase all settings blah blah without bricking this phone?

So the person I'm selling this to is OK with me putting iOs 7 on the device. Does upgrading to latest iOs version remove the jailbreak? I have quickly learned that Jailbreaking is not for me :)

Yes. Updating to iOS 7 will kill the jailbreak.

There looks to be a jailbreak on the horizon for iOS 7 with an iPhone 5 and below, so it may be possible to re-jailbreak it at some point. But no guarantees I suppose.

Well, there ya go. :)

Really though, on the 4S, iOS 7 is great. If you don't HAVE to jailbreak, then you shouldn't bother.

AFAIK, only tethered so far is on the horizon near-term.

I actually did this some time ago. Here's what I did:

iPhone 4 - if you have saved SHSH blobs, you can use Sn0wbreeze to build a new iOS 6.1 IPSW package with jailbreak intact but otherwise everything reset. Then you can install it from iTunes (hold Shift and click Restore to choose the modified .ipsw file).

If you don't have SHSH blobs saved or are using a newer phone with an A5 or newer processor, then SemiRestore is your best bet. I had to use SemiRestore when I sold my iPad 3 because apparently Sn0wbreeze is not compatible with A5+ devices.
