How do you uninstall RC5 software?

If it's a standard install, just remove the shortcut from the startup group and delete the RC5 directory. The client makes no changes to the registry.

Now why would you want to do that for?

And if you really want to do it..... I think all you have to do is delete the dir that you have the client in.

yes... your processor SHOULD be at 100%...
That's normal

think of it like keeping your car in a heated garage in the winter. Always at operating temperature... this is a good thing. 🙂

Specialist,
If you have the cow icon, then right click and choose the shutdown option.

If CLI, go to the dnet directory and type DNETC -SHUTDOWN, and that will stop the client.

If the client has been installed as a service, then go to the dnet directory and type DNETC -UNINSTALL, and delete the DNET directory.

no problem just wondeing how because i didn't see it in the Add / Remove programs directory i'm kind of afraid of sofware that doesn't nor use unistall shield!

Well, now you know (and I've saved it for future reference too). 😉

You made it sound like a China syndrome was occurring. 😱

😉

<< i'm kind of afraid of sofware that doesn't nor use unistall shield! >>

As Russ mentioned, the software makes no changes to the Registry, or any other sort of system files. InstallShield is unnecessary.

I hate to be the person to disagree on this one, but if you use the installer version in windows, the client does add a few entries to the registry.

There is a key in the HKEY_Local_Machine -> software -> Distributed Computing Technologies Inc.

All it looks like it does is set a few preferences, like window position.

edit: there are no system files stored elsewhere, though
