How do you turn off an NV firewall on an NForce3 MoBo?

Go the NV Forewall page and can't find a global on/off switch... What am I missing here?

I'm trying to get a simple home network set up in Win XP Home. I had no problems on the old rig but I'm guessing the added blockout from the NV Firewall is adding to my grief... The main NV Firewall menu eludes to an on/off switch off the "firewall" submenu, but I can't find it...

Certainly a bunch of other folks have had this question while configuring their hardware on a new rig???

If you don't want the firewall at all, you can always just uninstall the Nvidia Forceware Network Access Manager. However, on my config, I was easily able to disable the firewall through a button in the Firewall section of the utility. The button on mine is right on the main Firewall page.

Same here, and I have been thinking about it since the NV seems to be running apache webserver processes to do its job. I will read more of the (sparse) documentation to see what that is about.

On the main firewall page, you should have...

Off
Low
Medium
High
Lockdown
Anti-hacking only
Custom 1
Custom 2
Custom 3

Thanks for the help Amaroque... I didn't see "off" till you made me look again... I think I was scrolled down too far...

I had a similar startup problem and just set it to "anti-hacking." NV suggests this setting if you're using a SW firewall (Zone Alarm) and it did not interfere with my home network setup. Not sure exactly what anti-hacking provides security-wise, but as long as it doesn't cause a conflict I'm OK.
