How do you tip the pizza guy?

supposed to do the 15%

Actually I just went downstairs to pick up the pizza for my office...the total was $299 and I gave him $45 tip

If it's one pizza, a buck or maybe a dollar and some change. Generally I just give him whatever amounts to the nearest dollar or something.

But if he / she was delivering to a party with a bunch of pizzas, he would probably get a great tip - maybe $5, $10 or even $20 depending on how drunk and generous everyone at the party is.

$1 per pizza

but i don't live where anyone delivers pizza, so i don't actually tip pizza dudes anymore

1 or 2 bucks...... pizza place is right down the road...... and they usually deliver mulitple pizzas to other houses at the same time, so its not a special trip for me.....

15% is standard. But I also give a minimum of $5 anyway, because some dude (or chick) drove his/her own car to my place, and perhaps used his/her own cell phone, while only getting minimum wage plus a tiny per-delivery stipend (usually less than $1) from the boss, for my convenience.

I don't believe in tipping; I believe in over-tipping!

Well, this goes back about 15 years for me......(and we had it waaaaay too good 'cuz if we drove our own vehicles for this particular pizza place, we got to keep the $1.50 delivery charge too).........

But if I could get $1 for every single-pizza delivery I made, I was satisfied. Don't let anybody kid you.......it's a posh job. No B.S., Boss is in your face less than half the time and you've got your own car, tunes, tinted windows, etc. etc. etc.

Today w/ taxes & all that, I'd say $2 per pizza would be good.

I still couldn't complain however, because for every time you got STIFFED, there were also times you got JUICED to the tune of $20 or $50 or (and yes, this really did happen and I still know this guy today).......$100!!!! It wasn't my tip, but my buddy delivered to a private airport & the guy had just flown in from Vegas in his twin-engine and dropped my bud a $20 for a $12 pizza and then proceeded to give him a BENJAMIN for delivering it to him late and in the rain all the way out to the small end of the airport......(all of about maybe 1 extra mile?).

Oh ya.......we did *have* to kick his arse! 😉
