I have 6 amd cpu's that are bad. Most are amd 1.3 to xp 2000+ . I bought most of these used. Is there any way I can tell if they where oem or retail and if they would have a warrenty left? Do i need the original fan for warrenty..cause i never use stock cooling. Ty for any advice on this.

Even if you hadn't voided the warranty, and not been able to provide a valid proof of purchase, the warranties have probably run out on chips this aged. the 2000+ is what? Over 2 years old?

I think retail warranties are good for 3 years, but without the stock fan or something like that you'd probably have trouble getting warranty support out of them. Besides, I'm not sure if the warranties are transferable.

They're not, a least according to my A64 3200+ warranty. 3 years, stock heatsink/fan, and original purchaser in original PC.
