spin the bread so that the excess bag is twisted up, then fold underneath. upon next visit, if furry then toss.

Fridge takes all the moisture out, so I don't do that. I twist the bag to make sure no air gets in and fold the twisted part underneath when I set the bread down. Usually, bread stays on top of the refrigerator.

At Sam's Club, you basically buy two loaves for the price of one. One on the counter, the other in the freezer.. when counter loaf is gone, freezer loaf comes out.. when last counter loaf is gone, buy two more loaves.

I've never noticed a difference in taste, and I would notice something like that. I'm picky about my bread.

Then again, I keep an impeccably clean fridge/freezer. No odors to soak up in my ice box.

I've noticed the bread is not nearly as soft and looses a little flavor when it's thawed out, that's my main gripe. I like my bread very fresh.

fridge and freezer should not be combined in the poal. fridge accelerates bread being ruined, while bread freezes just fine.
