How do you stay motivated to work?

The thought that in a few short months, I'm probably going to be getting up early and going to work nearly everyday for the next 30+ years of my life. That's..many decades. Everything up until this point has been in periods of 4 years (college, high school), and even those seemed long initially.

How does it feel knowing you're going to be essentially going through the same routine everyday 50 weeks out of the year for that long a time?

Get a job where you don't do the same thing over and over again if that is what your worried about...and they do exist, I'm in one, and I'm pretty darn happy.

i know it is not going to be exactly the same. I know that i will be working to get something (i.e. money) so that i can do the things i *really* love (travel) and buy things that i may want(a new house, etc)

I think to myself that there will be new experiences and trials for me to face and if i do not like what i am doing, i can change it.

Care to elaborate on that idea, perhaps? ;)

the thought of being able to post on AT unsupervised.

i'm only an intern, though, and this job is temporary. I'll give you real answer in ~10 years.

Try workin in the oil field, its way more hours than that. Lots of $$$ though

Just make sure you get a job you like to do, dont be miserable for the next 30 years of your life (or longer).

Work is my playground. I purposely stay overtime because I'm kicking ass all day. Plus I get paid for that overtime as well : )

some things for me:

-going to bed earlier
-caffeine in the morning
-fear (looking at my debts, and then looking at my bank accounts)
