I type out a list of what I need to do on each project and keep it in a MUST DO folder on my desktop.
It is nice to finally cross something off my list of things to do and finally be able to have an empty folder.

I always try to perform my tasks better today than I did yesterday, and over time, that has been recognized and I have been continually rewarded with promotions to better, more interesting jobs (and more money).

It is amazing what happens when you set yourself goals and work to achieve them!

don't get it twisted buddy getting up and going to work 9-5 for 30 years is a CHOICE. You have MANY OTHER OPTIONS.

Become interested in whatever it is you spent four years at college for, if you're not already. Never stop learning and exploring that and related fields. Challenge your mind, keep yourself involved.

... and, early to rise, early to bed.

I'm not motivated to work at all right now. I just do it because I have nothing better to do.

Early to bed, early to rise
Makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.

But then your reversed wording made me think.....

Early to rise, early to bed
Makes a man poor and eventually dead.

Aaaanyway, concerning what motivates me. Right now, I need money so I can afford college, hopefully without incurring huge debts in student loans.
Going to college for mechanical engineering, which I hope turns out to be something I do like. Cisco networking (2 year program at a community college) didn't seem to sit too well with me. I just really hope that ME is something that'll work for me.

I like the life drama. :D

I don't know about that one. Unemployment and being broke all the time sounds a lot more dramatic to me! When you get to make exciting decisions like whether to buy groceries or pay the electric bill with the last $50 in your bank account.... THAT is drama :)

Like most others on here my main motivation comes every other Friday in the form of a pretty decent paycheck.
Also, I get 6 weeks vacation a year so I always have the next one coming up as motivation, and the weekends.
