I lean ever slightly over and rest my head on the fat rolls from the arms of the fattie that's protruding into my headrest.

Just snuggle up close to the man sitting next to you. :D

BTW-I have no trouble sleeping on airplanes. I can nod off for an hour or two pretty easily, it's a great way to kill time on those cross country flights. I usually try to get a window seat for this though. I'm guessing this flight is full?

Yea, I checked my seat assignment online and it had me in a middle seat, there were no window seats left and only one aisle seat, so I switched the aisle seat. I'm gonna try and change it when I get to the airport, but it's probably full.

On a side note, San Francisco is awesome. I stayed at the Hilton in the financials district, pretty cool.

So I gut stuck in an aisle seat for the redeye from San Francisco back to the east coast tonight. I always sit in the window seat because it's easy to sleep, how do you sleep comfortably in an aisle seat? Do those silly looking neck ring pillow things work?

Recline your seat just a bit more than your neighbors and lean your head on the outside edge of their headrest.

(I use to be a windows-only guy, but I decided after 9/11 I would be more useful in the aisle (6'3", 230+ lbs.))

I usually sleep on my neighbors shoulder.

They usually wake me up when I start drooling

Unless the wife is flying with me or I have an entire row [of 3 seats] to myself [so I can lay down] - I can only get 10-15 minute cat naps. Typically - long flights will have built in displays in the head rest so you can watch movies/shows.

I'm a narcoleptic. Oftentimes I fall asleep on the ascent and wake up right as we descend. I think I usually sleep by crossing my arms, slouching forward, and letting my head tuck down onto my chest.

I generally can't sleep on planes. The only time I've fallen asleep is when I was ridiculously tired and I would only fall asleep in short increments - very light sleep, so not very refreshing.

If you are on a fancy plane you get that... but I didn't for my flight to Hawaii. :( We had one tiny ass screen per like 9 seats or something... And there was no choices in what to see. God, it was sooo cramped on that fucking plane.

I have my own private jet, so I'm not bothered by the troubles of the common man. Not bothered at all. Everyone knows this.

you should try to get the seat near the emergency door. that's where there's most leg room

I stretch my legs out in the aisle. Sure I trip anyone who walks by but I'm comfortable.

That's OK if you're a guy who is too big for people to dare kicking. Mind you... if you weren't a big guy, you wouldn't need to stretch out anyway.

Well it wasn't too bad. That pillow thing helped. It wasn't nearly as nice as a window seat, but much better than a middle seat.

Reps for neck ring pillow thing.

Just watch you don't spill into the aisle at all. Last time I fell asleep in an aisle seat, I was woken up by the drink cart ramming into my knee (which was sticking out into the aisle by about 2 inches)

It's an airplane, not a movie theater.

You are honestly bitching about your parents taking you to Hawaii? Next you will be complaining that they did not rent a private jet.

Wrong, most leg room is in first class.

They also give you priority boarding, a pre-flight drink and snack, a meal, a hot towel, unlimited (alcoholic) drinks, free headphones, pillows/blankets if desired, and occasionally a handjob from the stewardess.

I'm going to have to try first class and do you get to pick which stewardess gives you the handjob? :D
