So, which FBI office do I call? Local one, or Portland?
Man, this is messed up - I didn't want to have anything to do with this! Have to provide name and phone number and all that....goddamn, I'm just minding my own business and this drops out of nowhere....

Are you sure it's not a sting operation? It could be a setup.

Because I don't know for sure this IS a guy. Hell, for all I know, the person in question really IS a girl from the UK and visitting 'her guy in Iowa' to pick up models.

Another thing to be worried about!
Still, I only looked at the gallery thumbnails at the Yahoo "sample porn" gallery - you know, the small image with the text under it? It was the text that gave it away "so and so at 13" "so and so at 14" "me at 15" "me at 16", etc. I mean, you can tell enough about a pic sized that big to know what's going on. Even in the other photo folders they had were pictures of 'themselves' - clothed, but dressed really, really....inappropriate for their age. In suggestive poses.

Trust me, they were naked. VERY naked.
ANYWAY, I've informed the FBI. Just got off the phone with the Omaha branch, who apparently has jurisdiction over Iowa according to the above site. Wrote up what I knew - guess it's out of my hands now.
Big question, though - this guy has my website info. It'd be DAMNED inconvenient to shut down the site or move it...for now I just took down the index page, making it mostly useless. Is there anything I can do in Apache to block his IP address so I can put it back up?

Yes find the .htaccess file located in your home directory (public_html for cPanel) and follow these instructions
order allow,deny
deny from 159.37.7.93 <---- enter IP here
allow from all

2) Depending on what they say, then report it to Yahoo!
3) How the hell could this be a "sting"? Wouldn't that be entrapment or stupidity, something like that?
4) If it were me I'd do it all anonymously. Pay phone + cybercafe computer using Yahoo e-mail =
Good luck and please keep us informed.

Well, goddamnit, I didn't think to do that. Just pissing myself in nerves too much. Nothing bad can happen to *me*, though, right?
I mean, it'd royally suck if they decided they needed my computer as evidence or something due to the Apache logs.
(Oh, man, that'd suck - I telecommute doing PC support! No computer = instant out-of-a-job!)

as rossman said. also, this may not be necessary, but if it doesn't work (test it out with someone else if you need to), make sure to set the directives appropriately in your httpd.conf as well:
<Directory /var/www/html/naval/>
AllowOverride Options FileInfo
</Directory>
where /var/www/html/naval/ is the path to your web page that you want to restrict access to
then, restart your httpd service
