people with multiple computers, what method do you use?

just share the photo folder on a master computer and everyone manually accesses it? use a program to synchronize all computers with latest photos?

Those computers that are on the network can access them from the server. Those that are not (my laptop), I manually sync once every month or two.

We keep duplicates on our two machines. The originals on one and copies on another.

how are you manually syncing? do you have folders to keep them organized? i use folders and can't imagine manually syncing unless i simply delete all photos on the second computer and copy all photos over again

i hook my camera up to my pc and download them to a folder called "pics" which resides on my desktop. If i get the message that a duplicate file exists, i overwrite it because i dont need to look at old pictures.

I then holler upstairs to the wife to come look at these pics we took. If she doesn't come downstairs shortly, i go back to surfing the web or looking at porn.

Yes, that's what I do. I have control over what goes into the second computer, and I have write access disabled; that way I know that I won't be losing anything when I destroy it and overwrite it with a more current copy.

Mainly I just use a USB thumb drive, but I'm going to set up a shared folder for my network soon.

I use SmartSync Pro to do a daily sync of My Documents (Pics subfolder too) between my Desktop and Laptop.

flickr. but within the household, I'm the only one w/ digital pictures pretty much....

I'm slowly getting some cousins to use flickr, mainly because we can then just order prints from each other if we really want it. what's lacking is a "send this set to family member" option.

They're on my main PC, and I manually sync them up to a backup location on another PC in the house. I also periodically burn them to DVD.

There are tons of websites that let you share pictures... I personally put a gallery up on my own website.
