How do you send text messages to cell phones from AIM?

I didn't even know you could do that until my gf started sending my phone messages via AIM last night. How do you do that?

i use +1then the number with area code, go to the screen where u add buddies, and there might be a button to add mobile, this addes a mobile number to your list. thats how i did mine. If you don't have that you can try updateing your AIM, and if that still doesn;t work then i really have no idea, espcially if the

Yeah, just hit reply. It pops right up on their screen in a cool IM window.
