I've always said U - R - L ..

I've heard some people say it like the name "earl"
Especially a few of my professors at school..

I'm always like wtf and have to think a second about what they're talking about.

Anyone who says erl needs to be shot.

When did the pronunciation of URL come into debate? :p Does these people also try and pronounce HTTP? I'd like to hear that one :p

Hearing somebody pronounce an abbrievation get on my nerves. I knew someone who referred to the United Parcel Service as "ups" rather than "U-P-S". If this is correct than why don't you ever hear somebody say "ooza" or "oosa" instead of "U-S-A" for United States of America? So you should say "U-R-L" and not "earl" if you want to sound intelligent.

I don't. Seriously, I can't ever remember saying URL in any conversation, ever. If I was going to say it, I'd go with You-Ar-Elle.

Ok so if your talking about saying it, URL is 2 extra syllables. Spelling it URL is one less letter. Your a freak.
