how do you save your IE bookmarks?

i'm about to blow away my hard drive. How do i save internet explorer books marks and reinstall them later?

For Windows 2000 go to C:\Documents & Settings\your login name\Favourites - simply copy and save them somewhere else (to cd or other hard drifve). To restore them after the format just put them back into the same folder.

For Windows 98 - do a search for the favourites folder and do same as above.

I do the same thing. I simply go to my Favorites folder and copy it to another drive and zip it up and store it.

Or, the more formal way, is to open up IE, then go to File->Import and Export, and export away! 😀
