How Do You Save .MPEG/.ASF from internet?

I was just at www.launch.com and was watching some music videos, and like quicktime, i was wondering how i can save these videos to my hdd. I know how to save quicktime movies to hdd, but does anyone know how to save .MPEG/.ASF's to hdd? Any help on this would be nice, thx

I believe all you need to do is right click on the movie and "Save Target As...". I could be wrong, but it's worked for me in the past...

MPEGs can be downloaded using save as, but ASF can be download protected. It's up to the browser what to to when you access an MPEG, so just use another browser of a download agent.

ASF movies however is another issue. If you monitor your IP-traffic you'll see that the when you view the movie http://www.server.com/movie.asf it acctually redirects you to the movie location and you start streaming from http://123.23.1.X:80/movie2.asf.

Just copy the URL from your monitoring software and choose save as in the browser... voila! :)

you sound like you need asfrecorder
do a search for that. and it'll let you save .asf files from the web.
