How do you run memtest 86 off the floppy?

Ok i just downloaded memtest86 and i pressed Install Ms-Dos batch file it asked me to insert a floppy disk and i did and then it was finished and i rebooted the computer with the disk in it but i cant figure out how to actually initiate the test to check for bad memory in teh first place?????

what did i do wrong?

what are the actual steps if someone knows?

If your installation ran properly, it should autoboot from the floppy. It is not a DOS floppy. You will see a series of dots while the disk loads and the memory test will start immediately.
Perhaps you have a defective floppy disk. Run the install again on a new diskette.

Is your floppy set as a boot device and is it in the proper order and enabled?

like these guys said, go into your bios and set your floppy drive as 1st boot device
