How do you retrieve your email and what client do you use?

Gmail FTW. in fact, it is the only email that works in my school. (our system admin must be biased) the AJAX interface means that i don't need outlook.
 
IMAP with either Thunderbird, or squirrelmail, depending on whether or not I've got a standalone client configured on the workstation or not.
