anybody know how to disable, or get rid of completely, the company logo when you boot up ? i thought it would be embedded with the bios but flashing the bios with one that was downloaded of from intel's website didn't do the trick. and i checked all bios options and didnt find anything in there either. its an intel p4 motherboard that my cousin's company was going to throw out because it was outdated but he decided to pick it up for me instead. any suggestions?

The few I had could be killed in the BIOS...

I do remember that the BIOS option was "cleverly" worded to appear harmless and mean something trivial.

Best I can do ... sorry

I think it might be called the splash screen... at least for some BIOS's.

Just did this a few days ago with my new build: it's called Bootskin. Did it with my secondary machine two years ago, too.

You can also change the logon wallpaper in the registry: HKey_users\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop, double-click the Wallpaper string, and point it to a file on your hardrive.

Is this a diff'rent logo than the usual li'l EPA one in the corner? I remember replacing those with a custom image by modding the BIOS in the olden days.
