How do you remove bitrate limit in Kazaa?

There's a workaround. You edit the registry, that's all. Install older version? WHy do that?

you only find up to 128kbps songs... now if you edit that in the registry you can find higher bitrate songs and such. I don't remember where in the registry...

HKCU\Software\Morpheus\

Change the "LimitBitrate" Binary Value from 1 to 0.

This works for Morpheus. If you're using Kazaa, try looking in HKCU\Software\Kazaa

If that doesn't work, just download Morpheus. They're essentially the same thing and have access to the same shares.

Heres the fix

Start-Run and type regedit. (if you didn't already know)

Look for a DWORD entry titled LimitBitrate.

You can do a search for it or you can find it under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Morpheus

It should be the only entry IN Morpheus, not under it.

Right click on this and change the value from 1 to 0 and you should now be able to find songs with bitrates well above 128.

also in case you want to increase the number of results from the default of 50 back to 100+

Go to \HKEY_CURRENT _USER\Software\Morpheus\Advanced
Look for the DWORD entry MaxSearchResult
change it to 150 or so I put mine at 300 still seems to only do 100 or so but some times more

1.3 but you need to be completely exited from the program for it to work no icon in the system tray. Then follow the instructions above and you will be off and running. I prefer Morpheous because of the no ques either you d/l it or you don't no waiting to see if you are only d/ling at 1k a sec. The selection is good and the number of users is growing daily which I like.
