A variety of ways. Martial arts (especially just going through forms), exercise, meditation, music, sleep, or sex. Preferably the latter.

It depends on the type of stress. Most of my stress is mental, so I try to seek ways to put my mind at rest. If I'm not completely stressed beyond limits I'll play the piano, listen to a few of my favorite piano concertos, and have a glass of wine.

Playing CS: Source, DoD: Source or BF2.

Throwing on my headphones and crank up the music and just drown out everything else.

I stopped getting stressed awhile ago. I noticed that one of my main causes of stress was due to my work load. (I ALWAYS have stuff to be do.) I then realized that by getting stressed all I was doing was slowing down my progress on the stuff I needed to get done. Thus, getting stressed was not an efficient use of my time.

Now I just simply don't stress out about stuff, I just do it or do something else. Allows me to get more work done.

How do you do that? Its like a buildup of emotions that i cant let out =(

(wow that sounded emo)

I'm not sure how to describe it, but even during the most "stressful" times I am not stressed. I guess it's almost like I belittle it? "Oh look, I have to write the constitution of the united states of america left handed with my eyes covered, fun." And then I'd just do it. Or do something else.

I just realized that by being stressed it would only take me longer to do whatever I was doing, prolonging the stress. So now I have no stress and I get things done faster.

Try working on a side project or a hobby. Something that you can really get in to. Before you know it you'll have forgot what ever was causing you stress. For me there's an endless supply of time drainers such as reading (articles, books, magazines), work on my projects (huge backlog of ideas), work on work (steady $$$), learning new programming languages, refining old ones, music (playing, composing, learning new instruments), writing (articles, blog), listening (personal development tapes, cds, podcasts), physical fitness, and I'd also like to finish learning my backflip sometime.

I do the same, I lift through stress, (weights I mean) I punch the wall some times, scream when no one's around, blast music, bitch to people, sleep, beat my self up sometimes, temporarily go insane...

If I'm stressed because of arguments I usually exercise. It lets me put my exersions on something else. If I'm nervous I usually listen to music. For long term stresses I just sleep it off.

i was kinda the same way at my last job. i finally decided that the job wasn't worth getting that stressed about and just did what i could. if osmething didn't get done, it didn't get done or it could wait.

now i have a whole new set of things to worry about at my new job and i'm trying to get out. i'm just sick of everything

I like to break dishes. Throwing a stack of plates or bowls against the wall is an excellent way to relieve tension.

Noise and walking outside to get some fresh air.

Driving helps depending on the situation and seriousness.
