our cable company offers a great internet/digital cable package, it's a local company called Nortex Communications www.ntin.net

we pay just shy of $100/month for basic digital (480p on all cable channels right now, but they are gonna soon start offerering the local networks in full HD) there's about 85 channels in the basic line-up, and the best part is the internet connection is 8mbps/4mbps..

<pompous jackass mode, with condescending Seattlesquemalelesbian accent>

I haven't owned a TV set since 1992.

Mostly however the hotel/motel/airport/oil change place gets their signals.

See that is what mine is for digital tv and internet service at 10/1 but $100 a month is $1200 a year. That is a lot of money.

I just turn the teevee on and there it is!

We've been Dish subscribers for over 7 years, and wouldn't go back to ComCrap is they paid me to use their service.

(OK, if they paid me enough, I'd consider it...)

satellite
But its getting costly too.
There just isn't enough quality programming to justify the high cost.
hbo, max, showtime, starz all play the same crap 24/7 with maybe one new movie a month
The networks all show reality tv garbage.
Scifi channel is about to lose its last great show, BG, stargate doesn't return till the fall.
I mainly watch history and science channel now, and even that is repeating lots now.

Going back to turning off tv and listening to radio more.

POS company IMO.

But it's my only option at all for internet, DSL isn't even available where I live and they do offer HD and DVR.

I heard that Charter is the worst ranked provider in the US now on some consumer poll.

All my TV comes via internet.

I have a set of rabbit ears on top of my TV right now. But for most primetime shows I just download the shows and watch them later since it's far superior quality.

OTA with attic antenna. Get about 15 HDTV channels most of the time..

I had a 4 way splitter on mine and could not get all the channels. I then put a 4 channel booster on it and i now get 32 channels and no hickups on the major ones.

Forgot to mention that I have a booster too. I live over 50 miles from the nearest transmitter.
