Acer just sent me a new battery for my laptop. Its Li-ion battery 6cell. The windows battery info says its low.

so how do i charge/use it properly so i can get the max life out of it? i heard there is a proper way to charge it when you use it for the first time.

any inputs!?? thanks!

Li-Ion batteres are excellent. Just charge and go. If you are going to store it for a long period of time leave about a 40-50% charge in it. There's no need to do a deep discharge like you would typically do for a Ni-Mh or Ni-Cad battery.

It is a good idea to make sure it is charged fully the first time you charge it. Just leave the computer plugged in for 10 hours or so.
