The person with the name is of Chinese origin. Is it Tay - oh or Tah - o?
'Tah-o' I guess is how I would write it.
Tow (like towel)
i thought it was pronounced 'dow'
That's what I learned in my greek days.
Same, like the Book of Tao (Tao Te Ching) is pronounced that way.
It's probably a phonetic translation of dow.... as in dowel... haha
You are correct sir.
Dow is my vote.
BTW, everyone I know pronouces the greek letter as "Taw"
Do you live in the South or something?
Seems to be the accetable pronunciations. Tomato, Tomahto. This is NJ/southeast PA.
ok.. then what about Tso?? Like in General Tso's Chicken! Is it "so", "Tow" ...???
it's like sour without the r. tsao
Isn't tau also pronounced "tow" like "now"?
Add me to the "dow" list.
General Tao's Chicken YUUUMMMY!!
no seriously, dow
If its Tau - as in the greet letter - then "Taw"
If its Tao - as in an Asian name - then sort of like "cow" - yes i did write "cow"
