How do you pronounce Nokia?

Me and a friend argued today about the pronunciation. Granted he is a foreign student...

I say:
no-key-ah

he says:
nok-ee-ah

Any people familiar in how you actually say it? I know Nokia is a country from EU, which we argued which country it originated from as well. He claimed Finland, I claimed Norway, Sweden, or the Netherlands, I couldn't decide.
