How do you pronounce 'Mushkin' ?

I say Much as in mushroom, and ae (long a) - suhs.

However, I have only read about these - There is only one other person I know (at work) who even knows what in the world I would be talking about. Thus, I am saying these words having only read them, never really heard them.

I like to call this the place-bo (like place and bow) effect. As a child, I read a lot, and somewhere had rea about hte placebo effect. However, I had never heard it used in speech. So one day my aunt I were talking and I said "That's the place-bow effect". She was a little confused by it until she realized what I was saying. This is an effect common to people who read "too much", or try to learn words in languages they don't know. =)

I called Mushkin the other day for an RMA. The girl who answered the phone pronounced it "MOOSH-KIN.

I would say that is fairly definitive.

Maybe she just had a strong accent...
