How do you pronounce "G.U.I."

I am in an IT class and they say to pronounce it "gooey" Ive never heard that before....

I have been involved with computers for years and years and until 2 weeks ago I always said gee you eye. Now my teacher says its &quot;gooey&quot;.
I was interested in what the consensus was on this. Considering this is a forum visited by many IT proffesionals/trainees, I thought it would be a good place to get such information but I guess Im just neffing

Most techs would understand &quot;gee you eye&quot; and &quot;gooey&quot;, but it's fun to play with people who think they are into computers by simply spelling it out. I had a conversation with a &quot;web design&quot; student here that knew nothing about computers except how to use FrontPage, I mentioned a G.U.I., and he asked me what that was. I explained it and he said, &quot;Oh, you mean 'gooey'.&quot; I don't talk with him much anymore.
