How do you pronounce Anand?

I've wondered about this for some time, and even talked about it with some friends I know it isn't the most important of things maybe, but since english isn't my first language I really have no idea what the "proper" way to pronounce Anand or AnandTech is. I don't even know if the correct pronounciation is english or indian :frown:

Could someone enlighten me? This is getting close to an obsession now

and sometimes An-ond

Well I'm waiting for the Indian folks to jump in here. Personally I pronounce it Anand with the open A's. Two Face knows.

Heh, I see I'm not the only one confused by this

I pronounce it much like nickdakick I think... maybe not so strange with him being german and me norwegian (similar speech patterns for quite a few words) ... How about some enlightenment from those indians huh?

I remember when Anand used to have those web-videos he would pronounce it "an-ond".

a friend of mine, who is indian and goes to Anand for the reviews, corrected me the other day and told me it's "an-ond"
