How do you prepare win2k and xp for a new mobo?

I got a new mobo and... well this is my... 5th 6th.. i dunno... way too many to count

so... i know that there is a way of just deleting registry files and such and then having windows redetect everything once you've installed everything...

link or tips on how to do this?
