How do you partition your hard drives?

I imagine most people partition unless they have 1 small HD. Do you have all your programs/games installed there too? How big is it? I'm thinking I should make mine.. 30 gigs or so. Big enough? Too big?

*EDIT* because I have no idea what I was trying to say with that first sentence...

i dont
i have 4 HDDs a 40gig a 80 gigs a 120 and a 160

i dont partition any of them

windows is on the 40gig as well as everything that gets installed
the 80 gig has my Music, pics and docs on it
the 120 has mostly TV shows and Anime on it
the 160 has backups of some things on it and more Anime

I have 4 hard drives right now. All of them have one big NTFS partition, except for my windows drive, which has one 15gb partition for windows and programs, and the other 105 or so GB are just for storage purposes.

I am soon going to have 6 drives in 3 RAID 0 set ups..Each RAID 0 is going to be one big partition. so i get 3 huge drives 🙂

you are asking for trouble with that setup
raid 0 is BAD BAD BAD

run that sucker in Raid 5, you will take a minimal preformance hit comaired to raid 0 and it will be infinitly more stable

I have two 80GB drives in RAID0 partitioned 20GB system and the rest storage so defragging the system partition doesn't take forever.

Two more 80GB drives in RAID0 with a 1.5GB pagefile partition, the rest is one partition for video editing and burning, and a 250GB drive slaved on IDE2 for storage.

As soon as I get the time I'm replacing two of the 80GB drives with two new Seagate 200GB SATA drives. The 80GB drives go in external enclosures for back up.
