Best Bit Torrent Client there is

i use shadow experimental.. never had issues with it but one question

when the azureus is open, how much ram does it use? shadows uses like 25-40megs and i think thats a ton

i open it up maybe once a month? hence complete chaos. on the other hand, i have a quicklaunch bar that spans the entire desktop across the top 🙂. easy to recognize by icon (and quick to remember the particular location), so its the fastest for me.

it's funny... my office and desk can be a total writeoff, but if one program shortcut isn't where it's supposed to be, it drives me batty...

never could figure that one out..

that really depends on how many torrents you have going at once
Azureus is Java based so its funny

i have 2 rnning now Azureus is useing 44K of memory, BUT java (javaw.exe) is useing 30megs, ive seen it spike to over 50megs when running 8 torrents at 100k/s each

it doesnt cause any probs tho, with a gig of ram i dont nitice it

I organize my start menu into a few basic main categories:
  • Accessories (Windows likes it when I keep that)
  • Audio
  • Games
  • General (Word Processing and CD Burning primarily)
  • Internet
  • Startup (Don't wanna axe that)
  • Video
From there it's only organized by name, though on occasion I'll make sub-categories.

mine's the biggest mess ever:

startmenu.jpg

and my desktop is bare too. so, you ask...how do i get to programs?

Windows + R + first few names of exe + enter...

i much prefer using the keyboard to the mouse when i can.

Keep directory shortcuts on my desktop (link to download folders, storage drive, emulators, etc, 12 total shortcuts on my desktop) and then all my program shortcuts in my quick launch bar. I probably have 30-40 shortcuts in the quicklaunch bar and keep about 10-12 displayed which I use frequently. I don't touch my startmenu so its a big mess.

quick launch + win xp classic + alphabetized

but i try to uncheck the put program group in start menu whenever i can.
