I have never use any temp monitor utility before so I don't know what I'll need, hardware and software wise. I got my Athlon XP 1900+ setup a couple of week ago. So far, I have it OC'ed to 1684Mhz in an Abit KR7A-RAID mbd. The only way I know of to check the CPU and case temp is from the BIOS. How do I monitor from Windows XP? I downloaded Motherboard Monitor 5, but I still can't get the reading. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Try downloading a utility called HMonitor. If it can't get a temperature from your motherboard, then you probobly won't find anything else that will work. You may find a utility on the CD that came with your motherboard.

Did you look up the board on the MB5 website and setup the monitor correctly? It can be tricky.

I know it works on winXP because I am using it.

Look in the "motherboard info" section. Your mobo is listed with the sensors you should use.
