I run KeePass Portable in PortableApps on a flash drive keychain. I do back up the database to a local folder on my work laptop, however.

I also use KeePass. I have it synced with Dropbox and have the app on my phone and tablet.

I use Lastpass. I like it. Just remember not to leave your browser open with Lastpass logged in.

Plus, it works with the fingerprint scanner on my laptop.
Yeah, two of my laptops have working fingerprint scanners, one does not, perhaps fixable. I don't have a clear picture of how Lastpass works, much less the practical ins and outs. You are using the free version, I take it?

I use password safe developed by Bruce Schneier. If any of you are seriously using Notepad or a file on your computer, I would recommend this program. Super easy to set up, it can keep password history, and is much more secure because it encourages you to use better passwords because you don't have to remember them.

EDIT: If anyone is interested, here is a link http://www.schneier.com/passsafe.html

keepass.

Which not only does a great job storing my passwords, but also amuses me every time I say the name.
