My favorite recipe is tuna in water + a ton of mustard + a bit of olive oil + relish + maple syrup or honey + salt & pepper.

You?

My healthy tuna salads are lettuce, water packed tuna, lemon juice and salt and pepper.

I sometimes add assorted ingredients for diversity: tomato, thawed frozen peas, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion and sliced up hardboiled eggs.

A nice healthy alternative to the usual tuna salad with mayo. I'll have to give the honey and olive oil a try, never considered that alternative.

I usually use:
mustard, relish, miracle whip, and some salt + pepper.

I like the tuna in oil and drain about half the oil out of it. Then I add in some BBQ sauce (I prefer honey BBQ sauce), some chopped green onion, a squirt of mustard, and a little bit of Mrs. Dash. Yummy!

drained tuna, mayo, celery, onion, s&p, Goya Salsita instead of just lemon juice; gives it a lemony, slighty spicy tang.

Ooh BBQ sauce? That's different...I'll have to try that sometime.

It's kinda like the pulled pork of the sea eh?

I guess you could call it that! LOL Sometimes I'll squirt some horseradish in too if I have it around but I don't usually keep that on hand.

The tuna salad made me think about another fish salad I make.

Get a can of kippered herring filets. Drain the oil from the can into a small bowl, add mayo, tarragon vinegar, and capers to this. Whip it up into a dressing. Place the kippers on a bed of lettuce and pour on the dressing. Snack away.

I make mine using the tear open, white albacore pouches, with some chopped celery, pickles, onion and mix with miracle whip. I like to grill mine, on extra sourdough rye, using garlic butter, with melted cheese inside. :)

Yep, and sometimes it's nice with some clam chower, as well.

Well, you know....ever since Adam and Eve took that first swim, they've never been able to get the smell out of the fish. :p

You are right on with the albacore. For your safety, please go for the cans and steer clear of the zip opens. I've seen them perforate fairly easily and you could end up sick or dead after eating it. Do you think those shelf stockers are really placing the food on a shelf with kid gloves?

Of course not, armed with boxcutters which can frequently perforate the product, they strive to get it on the shelves.

Hmmm, good point. I hate opening cans, but that's just because the old mini can opener is probably the oldest thing I own.
