How do you make your Kool-Aid?

I haven't made any in a while, but I used to buy the pre-sweetened packs and use maybe a 3rd of the packet and mix in with sugar to taste. This was usually shaken up in an empty gallon milk carton filled almost to the top.

I hated people who threw the entire packet in, saying it already had enough sugar. That's bullshit.

And don't get me started on the douchbags that bought the unsweetened stuff. They piss me off even more.

So how does ATOT make their Kool-Aid?

Been a long time, but don't those packs make a half gallon, not a whole gallon? That's your problem right there. As for the unsweetened, you mean the sugar free or the one where it's just the flavoring and you add your own sugar? If it's the latter, what is wrong with that?

You take two cups of NRA propaganda, add in a healthy dose of Rush Limbaugh, plus some Fox news, Hannity and Silly O'Reilly and you've got some serious koolaid right there. You could add some Glenn Beck if you really want to get kooky.

I remember when the packs said add water and 2 cups of sugar. I think they just say 1 cup of sugar.

As for me, I drink Hawain punch, RED flavor. 🙂

Uh...like 12 years ago when I last drank the stuff, I remember lining the bottom of the pitcher or milk jug with sugar and then pouring water in. I'd taste the sugar water to see if it was sweet enough and then I'd add a package of unsweetened red mixed with purple drank

You trying to start a fight? 😡

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, that is the most perfect use of the Colbert icon ever.

Agreed, well done dank.

I remember making kool aid by using the bigger containers with the sugar mixed in and just using about 50% more than what it said to use. Nice and sweet.

Oh and to hell with Kool Aid. Tang is where it's at!

Tang is the SHIT! I love that stuff! Man, try sprinkling tang over vanilla ice cream! Awesomness!

yeah they used to say add water and 2 cups per package. i always thought that was way to much sugar and would use 1 cup.

now i just buy the sugar free.

I haven't had it in decades, but for the unsweetened, I made it according to directions, but used half the sugar. I'd probably cut that by half again if I made it today. Don't remember for the presweetened stuff, but some of the flavors worked well with milk instead of water. I used to do that a lot.

My GFs daughter dyes her hair with kool-aid. Imagine what its doing to our intestines? I recall drinking a lot of green kool-aid a few decades ago and my poo was an odd color.

If you drink a ton of Welch's Grape Soda your poop will turn bright green.

Gallon jug, 2 packets of kool-aid mix (who, I'm pretty brilliant to figure out that if one pack makes half a gallon...) Roughly 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 cups sugar (directions call for 1 cup per half gallon; too sweet for me) and filtered water.

When I'm doing something that causes me to sweat my ass off: half as much sugar + a spoonful or two of salt = gatorade for a fraction of the price.

Flavors: grape, lemon-lime, cherry, black cherry, orange, or lemon-aid. None of those nonsense flavors for me.

Mixing the flavors is the best part. My favorite was 1 pack of grape and one pack of lemonade. Grape lemonade! Ah memories... 😀
