How do you make Cat5 networking cables?

This has probably posted a couple of times, but I am not able to find it here. So I'm asking .. how do you make cat5 networking cables? from straight-thrus to crossovers?

I have the end-connectors, the wires and the tools you need to make it but what are the "wiring arrangements" for them?

Any links or info would be helpful.

Thanks

This might not help your predicament but I just don't believe in homemade cables. I'd suggest buying them premade.

Johnnie,

I'm with you. I prefer to "roll my own" and you do learn.

Check heref or wiring info.

It takes me about 1/2 hour to make one cable, so I buy the snaggless ones with whatever colour I feel like that day!
