Ingredients for a Tuna Sandwich (Yzzim Style) -

- 1 cup salad dressing
- 1 tin of tuna
- butter
- 4 slices of bread
- lettuce (optional)

Mix tuna and salad dressing together. Make sure to drain the tuna first or it'll be watered down. Once stirred together get out some bread and butter it (with the butter). When bread is buttered you put tuna on two slices of bread. Use all of tuna/salad dressing mixture....leftovers are gross.
Put lettuce on top of other bread slices and then put 1 slice of bread with tuna/salad dressing on the corresponding bread slice with lettuce. Eat.

The cheapest stuff you can find.

Mayo is gross :disgust:

BTW, you have to get the tuna that's in water. Don't get the crap in veggie oil.

Here's a pic

It's at Geocities, so you know what to do.

Anyway, it's kinda thick like Mayo...which would explain why it's defying gravity. It came right out of the fridge.

Ok, I get it now. It's noname Miracle Whip. And Miracle Whip is like knock-off mayo. Never heard it called salad dressing before. Must be the crazy Canadians I love amongst.

Wait a minute... if its anything like regular salad dressing, 1 cup would have about 20 grams of saturated fat. Hmmm... that sounds delicious !!

drain the tuna. Add mayo and mustard to taste. Add dill relish, or a chopped dill pickle. Celery is also excellent for a crunch in there, need something that is crunchy to balance the tuna. Salt and Pepper to taste.

yzziM, holy sh-t, a cup of mayo, what in christ are you doing to yourself, or how big is a tuna "tin" in your area?? Plus, I've never dressed a salad with mayo, so I'm not sure about that stuff... :Q

Drain tuna (but don't squeeze it dry).
Mayo (*not* Miracle Whip).
Touch of mustard mixed into the mayo.
Fresh chives
Diced celery
Diced carrots (optional)
Diced dill pickle

Using a fork put it on some good bread that's spread with mayo, and a little mustard if desired.
Some folks like to add crisp lettuce &/or tomato.

LOL I was thinking exactly the same thing..

I make mine same as above except I use 1/4 cup minced Sweet Pickles in place of Relish cuz it has an aftertaste.. you can get more creative and add stuff to it like minced black olives, or diced Roma Tomato but I generally stick with Tuna, Pickles, Mayo combination and I eat the stuff every other day.. oh and uh putting the tuna between crackers instead of bread also tastes very good..

Edit: NEVER USE TUNA IN VEGETABLE OIL.. god the oiled tuna tastes nasty and is tough to drain.. plus it's less healthy than using tuna in spring water..

Here's a little twist for those who wish to try it. :)

It's not tuna per say but it's just as good - if not better.

- Get one of those hot/spicy sardines in a clear bottle (w/ olive oil), normally found in Asian stores or Fiesta.
- Put a couple of sardines on a plate and mash it with a fork, you may include some of the oil if you wish. I sometimes include the pickle and chili inside the bottle for an added kick
- Add mayo to your hearts delight

Spread it on any bread you wish (soft, moist, sliced bread works best!) and voila! Filipino-style "tuna" sandwich!

Believe me, it's worth it. :)
